## What Roadie does

- Maintains separate priority lists for microphone input and speaker or headphone output.
- Selects the highest-ranked connected device after connects, disconnects, wake-ups, and login.
- Respects a manual device choice until the connected device set changes.
- Lets users avoid devices that macOS should not select automatically.
- Gives Bluetooth devices additional settling time during reconnects.
- Stops after three correction attempts if another app keeps changing the device.

## Privacy and safety

- Audio routing rules, raw device names, and audio-device identity remain local.
- Trial validation sends a pseudonymous device hash and app version to Roadie's trial service; the service returns and stores the immutable trial timestamps.
- License actions send the entered key and a generic activation ID to Dodo Payments or Roadie's scoped management endpoint.
- The app never captures or processes audio and needs no microphone permission.
- The app has no accounts and stores preferences locally.
- The app uses Swift and Apple frameworks with no third-party runtime dependencies.
- The current build is not notarized and requires a one-time macOS first-launch confirmation.
- Website analytics are separate from the Mac app. Google Analytics only loads after visitor consent.

## Install

1. Download and unzip Roadie.
2. Move Roadie.app to Applications.
3. Control-click Roadie and choose Open.
4. If macOS asks, confirm once in System Settings under Privacy & Security.
